OMB Named “Best Brewery in CLT” by Charlotte Magazine

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery was declared the “Best of the Best” by Charlotte Magazine for 2015 through their annual BOB Awards. We are honored, especially given the stiff competition we faced from our friends and peers! It’s a great time to be a craft beer lover in Charlotte! See the link on this post to check out the other CLT Beer BOB Award Winners. Thank you for your support, Charlotte!

OMB Named Best Brewery Tour In The US

Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Charlotte’s oldest craft brewery, was named best brewery tour in the United States by USA Today/10Best Readers’ Choice. There are more than 3,000 breweries operating across the country — likely more than at any other time since the 1870s, according to the Brewers Association — and just to be nominated to compete was an honor, says John Marrino, founder of Olde Mecklenburg Brewery.

Join Us For A Grand Opening Party

OMB will complete the move to a newly renovated facility at 4150 Yancey Road this summer, and will throw open the gates of the 8.5 acre facility at a public grand opening party on Saturday, July 19. The new location sits just 200 yards from the brewery’s current home on Southside Drive in Charlotte’s lower South End (LoSo) neighborhood.

Grab A Beer, Take A Seat & Stay A While

In August, the brewery will complete the move to a newly renovated 25,000-square-foot facility on 8.5 acres at 4150 Yancey Road, just a tenth of a mile from the brewery’s current home in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood.

The move enables OMB to launch an expansive traditional German-style Biergarten, populated with mature shade trees and ample natural greenery. Tables, chairs and umbrellas will dot the grounds, creating a welcoming refuge for beer lovers in a laid-back, family-friendly setting.
